Priscilla's Studio... 百樂工作室

這件作品是 3x4=12 片拼布塊的大件作品.

賣房子以前一直掛在我們家的大廳牆上, 代表我們家的信仰中心.

我的設計主題就是紅色的十字架, 從手稿中可以看到有一個拼布塊是出於另一位設計師--我女兒.

這整件拼布被, 是女兒剛上小學時候的作品, 但是一直到搬到這間挑高的房子以後才完成.

最上頭的是 "愛" --- 神的大愛 (Agape Love)

中心是航海的羅盤代表行事準則要依據方向 (God's Plum line)
左右各式順時針旋轉的風車 clockwise pinwheel, 代表順從 (Obedience)

倒數第二個是我女兒的設計, 媽媽的愛心完成.
除了與神的縱向關係以外, 與人的橫向關係更是重要.

最底下的是八角星 8 pointed star, 希伯來文意指豐盛 (Abundant)

In Hebrew the number eight is hnm# (Sh'moneh), from the root Nm# (Shah'meyn), "to make fat," "cover with fat," "to super-abound." As a participle it means "one who abounds in strength," etc. As a noun it is "superabundant fertility," "oil," etc. So that as a numeral it is the superabundant number. As seven was so called because the seventh day was the day of completion and rest, so eight, as the eighth day, was over and above this perfect completion.
